“A Black Hole In A Blue Sky” is constructed from a variety of field recordings I made while wandering in a few outdoor locations during the summer of 2011. I suppose this makes it a bit more “organic” when compared to the more synth-heavy “Abominations…” piece on DUNMORUL 1.

2cAudio’s Aether and Breeze reverb plugins were used extensively on this piece. I feel they were very important to creating the depth I hoped to achieve in creating some sort of odd, slightly unsettling, sonic imaginary space.

A sidenote: Unfortunately, this was the final work I created before losing the heart of my recording studio late last year. My PC’s motherboard took a dirt nap soon after I finished this work and I'm still in the process of recovering it.
